Membership Profile
     The organization is comprised of over 200 active public- sector and private- sector members engaged in promoting economic development throughout the State of Maine.
     Private-sector members represent real estate development, financial services, utilities, design professionals and trade associations.
     Public-sector members represent economic development agencies (at the local, regional, state and federal levels) and elected officials.


Educational and Professional Benefits
     Periodic Meetings - The Economic Development Council of Maine sponsors four Quarterly Meetings per year held throughout the State, and an Annual Symposium featuring informative speakers who focus on economic development issues.
     Annual Seminar - An annual two-day educational program featuring national, regional and local speakers who provide members with an excellent opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills.
     Professional Skill Building - Focused educational programs designed to enhance professional skills of economic development practitioners. Programs range from short information-packed sessions to state and national professional certification programs.
